Creative Commons and Public Domain
Our 24/7 Nature Radio soundscape recordings use Creative Commons CCO (or similar) and Public Domain sources and/or are produced by the 24/7 Nature Radio team. These sounds are royalty free and do not need a specific licence. Our apps and players credit the sound artist or just state ’24/7 Nature Radio’ if recorded by a team member. A small number of recordings may not have any identifying authors as they have used abbreviated user names when uploading their audio files. In these cases we are happy to revise the credits as soon as we are informed of the author.
If you are a sound artist, ecologist, or other professional in the field or just a regular listener and wish to provide a recording for our 24/7 radio station or Mixcloud cloudcasts, then we are happy to consider royalty free audio submissions (using MP3 or WAV files; 128k bitrate). The sound artist should not be a member of a royalty collecting organisation.
